Plans/Status

In the future of Zootopia we envision several permanent facilities that span across the nation. These facilities will be built with the latest green technology.  The facilities themselves will be teaching tools and examples of what is possible in lowering humanity’s biological footprint.

We will maintain a collection of animals to fulfill on the wildlife education aspect of our program.  These animals will come from a variety of sources, some of which include: injured wildlife that cannot be released back in to the wild, animals that have been confiscated by Fish and Wildlife, and retirees from zoos and breeding facilities.  These animals will be provided with a safe and comfortable home for the remainder of their lives while they serve as ambassadors for their species.

These facilities will have the capacity of educating several thousand children every year and hundreds of families.  We will host one week stayover camps throughout the year.  In the summer this program will be targeted to children on summer break and during the school year we will target school groups to fulfill on the science curriculum.
Family camp weekends will be available all year as well as booking special events (birthday parties, etc.)
Although the camp programs will be our focus we will continue to provide an outreach program.

As for our more immediate future we intend to expand our programs, in the summer of 2010, to include the one-week stayover camps for children.

The faster we can build, the faster we can educate and the sooner we can make a difference in lowering humanity’s footprint.
